This is a poem I wrote on Facebook. I was doing a transmog run with my guild and we were also going for some achievements for the drake mount (The ICC raid mind you). In the middle of the instance, as we get to the "Good Newwwwwws Everyone!" I started to lag and kept getting disconnections right and left. I DC, log back in, DC, log back in, DC, log back in, run in place, try to cast spells, DC, log back in, log back in, log back in, actually get in, DC, log ba-DC.
In the end I was too burned out from logging in and being disconnected too much so I got off. I don't know what it is. Then after a while I decided to write this.
So... this poem goes out to every poor druid or other class who has ever had the misfortune to disconnect 20 times in a single raid night, and also to everyone who suffers from the infamous lag monster.
"Ode to Lag"
I hate lag, I hate lag,
Much more than teabag,
Such a pain to get DC,
More trouble for you and me,
Latency goes down and up,
Bouncing like the perky pup,
First it's home, and then world server,
Like a ping-pong game, could last forever,
When I run into a room or cast a spell,
I run in place, and loading screen hell,
Go into an instance, loot a gold or a tome,
Next thing I know I somehow hearthed home,
Flew way back out, but it's too late,
Rare mob got tagged for a double date.
I hate lag, I hate lag,
I need a hug, this is sad.
