Sorry I've been so away from this blog site. Sometimes I phase out of doing something for too long and it's a bad habit. It's been a few months since my last entry so lemme bring you up to speed!
First off, Owl has left Insomniatic Tendencies and has joined another guild called LOWERCASE. I don't know the story of this guild name in particular, but I bet everyone has had those days when you hit the capslock key by mistake and type out something in chat and seconds later say "sry caps". I bet someday if that happens in trade chat then a player named Caps would say, "Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything bad to me."
Anyway, Owl is in LOWERCASE now and is raiding every week. Still trying to get Firelands done so I can try for the legendary staff, but so far we kill one boss a week and wind up with no embery thingies for me to collect. So yeah, still a little PO'ed. I'm still feeling like I won't get the legendary until it's obsolete. Might as well just keep hold of the caster staff from Fall of Deathwing, the LFR version, and kiss those legendaries goodbye. But I won't delete my quest items.... not just yet, not after getting 15 of them.... and still on the first leg of that quest.
I've played a little of Skyrim lately, and it turns out when someone dies, they usually stay dead. So that's a little bit more logical to me. But in Firelands, you have to go in there 50 billion times, kill bosses that you've already killed, over and over and over, week after week. They already have me signed up for a long time of playing, why make an epic quest chain that takes months to complete? >.< I hate it.
But then I have been having more fun in Blackwing Descent, if you can imagine. One night I was recording and a friend went over the edge just as the elevator went down. I managed to catch it on camera along with her famous line, "SHIT!" And another player saying, "Elevator Boss won!" That video is up in YouTube at the moment as well.
Then another day I went in there on my mage and I cast slowfall on a friend of mine, who's a druid in cat form at the time, and he floated right out into the center of the room and became lunch for Onyxia. Everyone started running and dying and asking what happened. I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard.
So yeah, if you invite me into your raid, be careful, I've been feeling kinda silly and mischievous as of late. Even my rogue has gotten into the action. After getting the Noblegarden achievements done I had a lot of blossoming branches in my pockets, so I started turning tanks into rabbits just before he pulls the mobs. ^-^
Guess it's my little revenge for not being able to get the legendary. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade... Or... as Cave Johnson would say, "I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day that it would give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am!? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down - with the lemons!" That was from Portal 2, one of my favorite moments in the game. Since I can't make a combustible lemon, I'll make do with what I can get in the game... putting up portals to the Exodar in front of the portal to the eye of eternity in Dragon Soul... turning the tanks into rabbits... and putting slow fall on people who jump down the stairs and become lizard bait. I'll do a lot more before I get that legendary, and even more after I get it.
