Welcome to Druid Net!

This is a blogsite based on my character Owlaf, from the US server Feathermoon, in the game World of Warcraft. Other characters might appear every now and again, but Owlaf is my main character and the first one I got to maximum level during Wrath of the Lich King, and again in Cataclysm. She collects mounts, pets, and other nonsensical junk. Packrat? Maybe. But we are talking about an OCD... Yep... this is the site of an Obsessive Compulsive Druid.
Thanks for visiting, and ENJOY! ^_^

JOUST - Wow Version

This is a video I made of my shaman Raikey, whom I plan to level to 85 so she can heal dungeons when I'm not in the mood to tank or dps on my druid. It will bring my total of max level characters to 4, the first being my druid, the other two are a hunter and mage. Might level a death knight someday, I have one in the works at the moment, but I'm neglecting it for the time being.

But I digress! This video is that of a quest chain in Mount Hijal. My character was level 81 when I did this, and while I was I decided to load my video capture and record my gameplay. Then I edited it and used Muse's song "Supermassive Black Hole", which I hope they won't mind, I did this for fun after all.

The quest is based on the old 2D arcade game of Joust, and it took several tries in when I first started playing it months ago to get used to it. Maneuvering is very much different from actually flying. In this particular quest line, you have to press the #4 button to make the mount flap his wings, and to move in a different direction, you have to turn to face the direction you want to go in and flap to start moving that way. If anything, it's a more challenging way to fly. Take that and add to the fact you have to joust down flying opponents with fireballs and streams of lava all over the place.

I personally think they should have added a hard mode where there actually is an unbeatable pterrodax that chases you around and can one-shot you if you get hit buy it. Well, not kill you, but it would make you dismount and be ported back to the mounts so you can remount and try again. When you take off, you have a five second grace period before the winged monster comes after you! ^_^
